What to expect from the trip?
A unique tour through Kamchatka peninsula, especially prepared by Team Trip. Close contact with animals, wild-life watching them in their natural habitat! We are going to spend 3 wonderful days on a cordon of T. Shpilenok Yuzhno-Kamchatsky Federal Nature Reserve at Kuril Lake, surrounded by lots of brown bears that come there to snatch up some spawning salmon.
We are going to spend 2 days in the open waters of Pacific Ocean on board of comfortable tourist catamaran "Bering", sailing down the cost of Kamchatka, having diving with nosy sea lions and watching whales. Main acquaintance awaiting us is an encounter with killer whales!
We will visit scientific field camp of FEROPS project biologists, who have been studying killer whales of Kamchatka water area since 1999, we will attend their fascinating lecture about sea mammals, then depart on the quest for these unbelievably intelligent creatures to swim in the ocean with them as well. Also during our trip we'll observe earless seals, sea otters, northern types of sea birds, arctic ground squirrels and marmots.
Moreover, we're going to visit Mutnovskiy volcano and ascend Avachinskiy volcano.
Emotions and impressions of this kind of travel are indescribable, can't be put into words – just feel it!

Trip program 03 – 15 July
Day 1 (03 July)
Arrival to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Meeting at the airport, transfer to a hotel in the Paratunka settlement. During this day we recommend to rest well, have bathing in a hotel's pool, but not fall to sleep before evening to have easier get lag.
Day 2
Day tour to Mutnovsky volcano (2323m), which is rightfully considered to be one of the most beautiful and intresting in Kamchatka. It has complex, unusual structure. Surrounded by steep rocks, a glacier comes down. Mighty steam jets rush to the surface through its cracks. This area is also attractive due to diverse and intensive manifestation of volcanism: hissing fumaroles in the bright yellow collars of sulfur crystals, clay boilers full of black liquid, astonishing craters. Sleepover in a hotel.
Day 3
Early departure. Moving to the Pauzhetka settlement via passenger off-road automobile along the Sea of Okhotsk coast. Dinner. Sleepover in a hut.
Day 4
Going via automobile to a ferry on the Ozernaya river. 13 km of trekking (without luggage) to the Ozerny cordon of T. Shpilenok Yuzhno-Kamchatsky Federal Nature Reserve (luggage will be transported to the cordon on a boat). Visiting geological natural monument Kutkhiny Baty on the way. Accommodation in the cordon. Brown bear watching.
Day 5
While this day accompanied by an armed ranger we'll walk to one of the many spawning rivers to observe brown bears fishing. We'll be carryng food for lunch and thermoses with hot tea to have on the way. By the evening we'll be back to the cordon. Dinner at the cordon.
Day 6
For sixth day of our trip we have two options: watching brown bears on a river where we can get via motor boat by the lake or hiking to Domashnyaya mountain to observe astonishing view of Kuril Lake and Ilyinsky volcano.
Day 7
To bid farewell to brown bears we'll watch them from the cordons territory. After lunch at 15:00 p.m. we'll walk back to the ferry of the Ozernaya river, then move via automobile to Pauzhetka settlement, where we'll have dinner and thermal pool bathing.
Day 8
Coming back to Peropavlovsk-Kamchatsky via automobile along the Sea of Okhotsk coast. Accommodation in a hotel in the Paratunka settlement.
Day 9
Day of rest in a hotel: thermal pool bathing or having additional excursions available, optionally for surcharge.
Day 10
Accommodation on a tourist catamaran. Sailing to Vilyuchinskaya bay towards Cape Zelyony. Observing of geological monument Tri Brata (literally "Three Brothers"), of the Starichkov island in the Avacha bay, and searching for orcas and whales on the way. Lecture about cetaceans and whales conducted by professional biologist in the evening. Sleepover on board of catamaran in passenger cabins.
Day 11
Sailing towards Kekurny Cape. Snorkeling/free diving with orcas/whales. Coming back to the sea port. Accommodation in a hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Day 12
Trip to the foot of Avachinsky volcano. Watching arctic ground squirrels in the wild, short hiking to the top of Verblyud volcanic extrusion or ascending of Avachinsky volcano for those who will desire. Avachinskiy volcano (2752 m) is one of the nearest to the city and, consequently, one of the most accessible volcanoes, that's why hiking to its top is so much popular between tourists. Avachinskiy volcano attracts people not only by amazing views that each one can see from its dome but by the beauty of its active crater as well. It's possible to watch the views of Koryaksky volcano, The Pacific ocean, Nalychevo valley and Avacha bay from the top of Avacha in good weather. The cone of volcano consists of a red volcanic slag. The crater is filled with solidified lava of black-grey color, lots of extremely yellow fumaroles decorate its edges.
Day 13
Transfer to the airport. Departure.

OUR VESSEL
Tourist motor catamaran "BERING" constructed and built on the Australian project. The vessel has outstanding seaworthiness and sustainability. It's fully fitted with all needed equipment and furniture to provide comfortable and safe trip: 2 separated individual cabins, 3 separated twin cabins, bathroom with hot shower available, large foredeck, large stern deck, 2 common tables and 2 separate sofas.
The catamaran has 2 Mercuri "verado" motors, 250 horsepower. Its length is 12 meters, width is 6 meters. Totally there are 10 sleeping booths.
